Rick Reilly of ESPN went on a major rant a couple days ago telling Tiger that he needs to fire everyone around him, to make things right with his wife. When did Rick Reilly become the authority on things that are Tiger? Once again, a reporter who never played the game at the level that a pro athlete does, is giving advice about what Tiger should do. Hey Reilly, you suck!
Many people are upset with Congress tackling the BCS mess, with most people saying that Congress has enough to worry about. This is a job for Congress because the BCS is in charge of millions of dollars each year, and if it’s being distributed unfairly than someone needs to step in and do something about it, that is their job. If you think it’s fair take a look at how much money the Big Ten gets compared to the Mountain West.
The Yankees are at it again signing Andy Pettitte yesterday, as well as trading for Curtis Granderson. The Yankee haters were out in full force complaining about the money the Yankees spend, I say good for them. As a lifelong Orioles fan, I would gladly would have added these two players rather than Kevin Millwood.
Kentucky out lasted Connecticut in another epic game in the greatest basketball arena in America. There is a reason Vegas has Kentucky at 5 to 1 to win the National Championship.
TCU vs. Boise State will be a hard fought game, but will be a little disappointing that we are not seeing these two undefeated teams play someone other than each other. I say it’s a conspiracy, right up there with the JFK assassination!
The NCAA is at it again, you know the secret police of college athletics. This time they are going after Lane Kiffin and the Tennessee Volunteers because of their use of pretty co-eds to help recruit high school players. Good thing the NCAA is on top of this, it’s only been going on for 50 YEARS! I played Division III football, and every school I visited had pretty girls show me around, who cares.
Allen Iverson returned home on Monday to finish out his career the way he started it, with the Philadelphia 76ers. Iverson is pound for pound the toughest player in NBA history and will one day be in the Hall of Fame.
Chad Ochocinco was fined once again by the NFL for wearing a sombrero after scoring a touchdown on Sunday. This guy is a breath of fresh air in a league that is constantly the same week in and week out.
Notre Dame sucks! They might be the only school in America that can’t see the best opportunity right in front of their eyes. Why have they not hired Brian Kelly yet? Go a different route and you will continue to be a mediocre program.
Peter Gammons announced that he was leaving ESPN yesterday to take a similar position with the MLB Network, could it be that he was involved in interngate too?
Virginia might have made the best move they have made in years dealing with their football program by hiring Richmond head coach Mike London, good luck coach.
Louisville hired Florida Defensive Coordinator Charlie Strong to be their new football coach. It’s about time this fine coach finally got a chance to coach. Many believe that he has been snubbed for many years because he’s African American and his wife is white. Last time I checked Loving v. Virginia was settled many years ago, which stated that inter racial marriage was legal, it’s too bad that this fine man had to be held back because of this. Good luck coach!
The Atlanta Hawks are good, now if they could just get anybody to watch a game.
It was revealed that Danica Patrick will join NASCAR this season…who cares, a proud sport that was once fun to watch will still be boring with her driving. My only advice to her, don’t try being tough with the NASCAR boys, they will put you in the wall.
Evan Turner the early favorite to be player of the year in college basketball is out for eight weeks after breaking two vertebrae in his back. This is the second year in a row that the Buckeyes have lost a significant starter for an extended period of time. Once again it will be obvious how good of a coach Thad Matta is if he keeps the Buckeyes winning.
Why is everyone giving President Obama so much shit? How is one man supposed to undo in one year what the criminal Republicans destroyed over eight years? Give the guy a chance and get off his back, why should someone have to apologize for winning the Noble Peace Prize? Maybe if he was white people on the right would give him a break…
